Ok, one thing I do a lot is launch task manager to what is running to shutdown services, programs, and see what is going on with my computer. One thing I don’t like is to perform a lot of steps to start this up. For me I am a huge fan of hotkey shortcuts, where a combination of key presses launches your favorite application. If you try and launch Task Manager there are two common ways to do so.

1. CTRL-ALT-DEL then cursor down 4 times then press Enter.

2. Windows Start key, type in taskmgr

3. Right click on the Taskbar and choose Task Manager (third up from the bottom)

Me, I like just pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL + T and it launches TaskManager quickly.

You want it too? Here’s how:

Right-click on the Desktop ->Select New ->Shortcut->Type the location of the item-> “C:\Windows\System32\taskmgr.exe

Type in a Name for your shortcut , I choose-guess TaskManager

Click Finish

Next right-click on the shortcut and go to Properties.

Under Shortcut key type the letter t in the box and it will auto assign CTL +ALT

Click on OK and your are done.

You can use shortcuts keys for other things too like launching your common applications like Notepad, Wordpad, Calculator, etc. Also if you don’t like a ton of shortcuts on your desktop you can move them to a folder or the Quick Launch bar in the taskbar.
