Vistagami has been the name affectionately used on the Microsoft campus to describe what new UI for the small screen has taken for UMPCs running Windows Vista. The official name for the new Vista OS and UI was released at CES as Origami Experience.
Back by popular demand the folks at Microsoft have once again embraced the code name that was so affectionately referred to as Origami during its “code name” stage and in its viral marketing campaign that grew very rapidly. From talks with some folks from Microsoft it seems that codenames will be going away and product names will exist to the end of the development cycle.
The new UI completely is redesigned for the small screen. I really like what I see.
For more screenshots as well some very detailed descriptions of the pages are available on the Origami Project Team Blog by going here.
