I have several email addresses for work, consulting and my private life and recently had to switch Exchange email service providers for one of my clients. On my Windows Vista 64 bit system, I could not find the Mail settings that I could on my Vista 32-bit computers to add the exchange account. Normally it was found in Classic View of the Control Panel as a simple Mail icon and I could add/edit my changes from there. Unfortunately Windows Vista 64 doesn’t have such an icon. Well actually it does, it’s just hidden.

Start Control panel, Start-> Control Panel. Notice the Mail icon is missing.

Next click on the left-hand side Control Panel Home. At the very bottom of the right column is Additional Options. Click on it.

Next click on View 32-bit Control Panel Items and you then see what you and I have been looking for.

The Mail icon as well as a few other icons that are hidden from view can now be accessed. Yippee!!!! I am so glad that was SO easy to find and is so well documented.
